Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Lansing. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in Michigan are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Lansing is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Lansing follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Great teahouse in Old Town. The owner is friendly and knowlegeable having lived in China over 20 years. Lots of great chairs to sit and chat with friends over tea. The tea set brought out is cute and as the ownwr admits it is about the experience. I liked the concept of a porcelain color changing animal on the tray that is there so that we are never drinking tea alone. A good message the western world sorely needs.
